Why "Silly Billy"? Why Modulus?
Well :) Billy is my school nickname, it has something common with my last name. I am Billy for tens years. And having jumped into the Net, I found millions
Billies, so I realized that I need a kind of unique name with some self-criticism, humor, and easy to remember. Thus this foolish nick.
Modulus is a term of famous French architect, Le Corbusier, that invented those micro-dummies that lived into his prototypes of houses and other
buildings. I've found it unowned as trade mark and very intuitive for my creations, so I've registered it.
Why paid memberzone?!
Just because I have to reimburse my expenses for new costumes, site hosting, photography, etc. C'est la vie. It's not my business, it's my hobby, so all I'm
doing about my sites, does not give me any serious profit...
How do you create your costumes?
First, I "see" them unexpectedly, like any other artist does. Then I detail the look, and go to my seamtress. Together we develop the pattern and then she
cuts the fabric and assembles the suit and top clothes.
Is that you who invented full-coverage lycra suits?
Yes and no. The idea was born years ago, long time before I found similar clothes on the Net. However, these clothes have been made independently of me
as well :)
Are your patterns protected by a patent?
Yes. I don't recommend anyone to copy without my permission.
Who are your models?
Mostly my female friends, however I have some professional models now, too.
Why are your garments so damn expensive?!
Oh, you may buy elsewhere. My experience shows that cheap things are CHEAP, do you understand me? :) Please be sure that quality does cost money. Also,
you may compare prices in designer boutiques to prices in regular malls. I'm not a mall, I'm a designer :)
How do I order a costume?
Go to the shop section, fill the orderform, and submit your order. Then I email you back, confirming the details. After that I expect a Western Union
or iKobo money transfer, buy the fabric and once the seamtress finishes the garment, I send it to you with courier mail which delivers the box to your hands.
Usually the whole process takes about 2 weeks, unless I state some other timeline and you confirm your agreement.
What is iKobo?
I can't bill creditcards directly. I live in Moscow, Russia. Our economy lacks any credit system, so no bank can cash a check for me. And there is
no online payment system here. Well, no one that won't rob me to death. Thus, direct money transfers only, at least now. iKobo is a worldwide online money
transfer system. I recommend to visit their site.
What is Western Union?
Western Union is a worldwide money
transfer organization, its offices are usually located in banks. In order to find a closest WU office, I recommend to visit
their site.
Do you make suits for males? If so, why don't I see any?
Yes, there's no difference for me in sex. I can sew a suit for any person. However, I don't really like the look of men in tight clothes, so I never
photograph them. Well, it's my site at last :)
I'm a big guy. Twice as big as your slim girls. Can I order?
Sure, always welcome.
Can you make a suit without hood? Gloves? Open eyes?
Sure, just select "custom order" in the shop, and describe what would you like to have.
Do you have only pink, yellow, blue & flesh toned fabric?
Of course, NO! The assortment of the shop I'm using consists of tens thousands materials of virtually any color, and some hundreds are stretchy and thus
suitable for tight clothes. Just ask what you want - and I'll try to find the closest match!
Is lycra skin-friendly? What if I sweat?
All the materials I use are certified for sportswear, so they breathe good! Except PVC-coated
fabric that I don't recommend for activewear. And there's no report of allergy that I know of.
Can I see anything through the mask?
Yes, unless it's PVC-coated. Maybe you won't be able to drive a car or read a book in an
opaque skinsuit, however you can navigate easily even in the dark.
Yee-haa. I've received your box. Now how do I get into the suit?
Thanks for asking!!! Some customers have their garments torn in seconds, despite I use really
strong stitch. Thus I devoted a whole page to the procedure of getting in :) Please remember the basic rule: NEVER pull the fabric hard along seams! Especially near the zipper.
It's the best way to ruin the suit!
How do I care of lycra? Wash or dry clean?
I prefer handwash or automatic washer with "delicate" program: warm water
(near 40c) and some neutral detergent with NO chlorine or bleach, like ones used for kids' clothes. Please buy a washing bag (used widely to
wash legwear) and always close all the zippers on the suit, if you're using a washing machine. Never use dryers or fans - let the suit dry
on the air, and preferrably in horisontal position... That's all!
I have a question not answered here!
Write, and I will add it to this FAQ.
